Priefert has been building livestock equipment since 1964, when Marvin Priefert designed his first headgate in a small shop on his Texas farm. Three generations later, the company is still family-owned and operated. Most Priefert products are proven on the family’s own ranch in Mount Pleasant, Texas, before they go into production.
Priefert’s record of innovation includes the first open-sided sweep, the first contoured side squeeze chute, and the first full line of powder-coated equipment. Today it builds horse equipment, cattle equipment, roping and rodeo equipment, and gates and panels used everywhere from family ranches to professional rodeo arenas.
Maverick’s role: As an authorized Priefert dealer serving California, we help customers choose and configure the right equipment, then our crew installs it, from horse walkers and riding arenas to cattle working systems and full roping arenas.
NXG Truck Bodies
Flatbeds Built for Hard Work
NXG Truck Bodies was founded by truck body industry veterans who set out to build a better flatbed. Their beds are made in a 125,000-square-foot facility in Mount Pleasant, Texas, the same hometown as Priefert.
NXG flatbeds are designed around the details working truck owners care about:
- XCoat: a multi-stage powder-coat finish built for corrosion resistance
- XRack: an integrated headache rack built into the body, not bolted on
- XHitch: a frame-integrated towing system with a high-capacity gooseneck hitch

Cowboy’s Choice Feeds
Grain-Free, Forage-Based Horse Feed Made in California
Cowboy’s Choice was created by horse owners who wanted a cleaner, more digestible way to feed their own horses. Built on almond hulls, beet pulp, rice bran, and alfalfa, it contains no grain, soy, molasses, binders, or fillers. It comes in two formulas: Red Label for conditioning and Blue Label as a complete hay replacer.
Maverick’s role: We’re the brand manager and wholesale distributor for Cowboy’s Choice, from the mill in Butte City, California, to feed stores and barns nationwide. We supply dealers, support their staff with training and marketing, and sell directly to operations buying in bulk.
Container Stop Tack Rooms
Steel Tack Rooms for Horse Properties
Our partner company, Container Stop, builds steel shipping container tack rooms, ranging from compact 8-foot units to fully custom builds. They’re weatherproof and secure, with layouts designed around saddles, bridles, and daily barn routines. They pair well with a new arena, walker, or barn project.
